Neil 30th November 2021

Bethany passed away on the 25th November 2021 She had sinusitis and quickly over night on Monday lost consciousness and never regained it. Final diagnosis of meningitis with a subdural empyema. Bethany made us the proudest parents we could ever be and Aidan the best friend a sibling could be… I have found out what a broken heart truly is, but with the family we are we will always be a family of four we have always been. Bethany had a drive and desire to learn everything about things she feels important and dismiss everything that isn’t. If she spent time in your life you are truly important to her, her friends, her family, along with hobbies of Formula 1 and football (especially Chelsea) featured in her life and she committed. She had decided to study Engineering at A levels so she could be one of very few female engineers in F1 and a desire to be the first female F1 senior powertrain engineer for a F1 manufacturer (aiming for McLaren or even Mercedes) - we have no doubt she would have achieved that. As a parent it is wrong to say goodbye to your child, but I am thankful for the years we have with this amazing woman. Already we have cried and laughed at things she has said and would say over these recent events, Bethany knew her mind and if asked would tell you. Everyone you met, you have left a mark on, even more recently in hospital. I am one of the proudest parents ever, thank you for giving me that. Thank you for being the best sibling to Aidan. Thank you for being the best mother daughter bond to Jennie. We miss you but will try to live life in a way you would approve. 💜
